Oh, they are so precious. I am sorry you did not have more success, but the ones you have are adorable. I have 12 in and have not candled yet, but I sure hope I end up with 4.

I am sorry to hear about the bad luck. I am on day 19 and so far I have three out of the 29 that have already pipped. Is it just me or do silkies really want to get out?

I sure will when the hatch is over and they are all puffed out. The 29 are going to be a suprise to me becasue they are from a mix flock of silkes. By the pics he has some beautiful birds in his flock. Some of the prettiest colors I have seen.

At 6 p.m. tonight, Day 20 starts on my 19 eggs. It's been two years since I hatched any pure Ameraucanas. They were always so much fun. And the Blue/Black/Splash Plymouth Rocks are a new variety for me. I've always loved my Barred Rocks.

Day 12 for me. I candled and tossed today, lost 8. I had 3 blood rings in my mystery eggs. Very early quitters. I had 2 early quitters and 3 never started in mt BCM's

Of those 3 only 1 yolk was intact, so I'm guessing the other 2 got scrambled in the mail. It looks like I may have all BCM roo's from my last hatch, so I really need at least 1 hen from this batch!

Has anyone had an egg sweat within half an hour of being in the bator? Does this mean it is no good?

Locking down! I am so nervous!
Started out with 6 BLRW and 9 welsummers. Candled today and I think I have 5 BLRW and 4 welsummers that seem to be ok.
