I'm on day 7 of incubation... I went ahead and candled all 36 eggs, couldnt wait, just wanted to take a peek! Looking good, see lots of veins... out of all 36, 3 I'm not sure about yet and 5 I really think are duds. I have pics. posted on my farm blog link below....... check em out if ya want. I just think its soooooo cool that you can already see itty bitty chickies and movement! (you can really see it in the bantam eggs!)

On what I thought was day 18, I added water and spnges, and then walked away for a bit (I don't use/have a hygrometer) I came back about an hour later to condensated over windows, so I took the top off to remove a sponge, and... HOLY CRAP, I have a pip. Now I am wondering what to do if it comes out tomorrow, and the others wait until day 21. I willnot know what to do, but I bet I will do one thing or another.

Gotta go get the brooder put the rest of the way together.

Today is only day 6, my MIL came over for dinner and asked me NOT to tell her when the chicks are "due" because then she would come over and stay all day till we kicked her out waiting for them to hatch!

The funniest thing is that my daughter, her grand daughters birthday is the weekend they are due. She'll be here, with her camera. Last time we hatched she took over 100 pics of the 20 chicks that hatched.

Today is day 13 or 14 and I just candled and went from 30 eggs down to 26. 1 was not fertile and 3 had blood rings (opened them up and there was no development so something must have went wrong very early on in the incubation) plus 1 of the 26 left I am not sure of it looked questionable but I left it in there. and 5 are so dark I can hardly make out the air cell.
