thechickonthehill: Congrats! They are lovely. What color will that silkie be with the white on it's rump & is it bearded? I've been admiring some Bearded Partridges lately.

I have 2 day left .. do I need to raise or lower my temp or humidity or just let it stay its course.? And what temp and humidity should my brood box be set at?

Quote:
Incubating humidity between 65 & 75%. No need to worry about brooder humidity.

Start with brooder temp at 95*, decrease by 5* each week [by raising height of lamp/bulb, or dimming to get correct temp] until full feathered [4 - 6 weeks] and temp equals surrounding shelter temp. Good Luck! Don't forget PICTURES!

I use "dry incubation" method so my "lockdown" (day 18 to hatch) is 99.5 degrees F (fan/forced air incubator - ask again if you have no fan/still air incubator) & my humidity is 55% humidity (no less). Your brooder box should be 95 degrees F for the 1st week & reduce 5 degrees every week as a guideline. We look forward to hearing about your hatch at Day 21 or so. Best wishes!

I hope that others will post their methods.

hcammack: Lovely chickies! Good Bresnea incubator! Way to go!
