Thank You we are on day 21. Most hatched yesterday pm and this am. With a few here and there.
What is way cool is I put about 5 that were bond to be scrambled with cheese in the bator. Just to see if they would hatch and all but the last one EE hatched and they are the strongest.
I did not have enough for myself and the buyer after they at last min wanted some. Having read about Trader Joe eggs I tried it. Hubby said they would not make it. SOOOO happy they did.
They all candled really good on day 18. I hope the last one is a late bloomer. The one that is not make it got knocked over I think that had something to do with it tring to come out before it should. It was a fresh egg too. I got the prettist blue one (EE). Roo or not it is home for good. I will try to get a pic for ya. Last batch hated picture day and still do.

My daughter woke me at 6:30 and said I had to get up and do something about the hatched chick running amock in the hatcher

I got up and went to look .......... one of the mystery LF chicks I bought in the store had hatched and when it got out of the carton, the weight of the huge egg opposite it flipped the carton and that egg rolled out, the third egg at the other end of the carton kept the carton tilted up and the wet chick was huddled under the carton. [Pics to follow, camera battery charging] There was nothing going on in the Suro with the 15 B-Ameraacauna eggs in it. I went back to bed for "another hour", and DH woke me at 11:30 saying I needed to get up so we could go to Lowes for the crate I bought before he had to leave for work. Checked bators, still just the one LF chick but 4 sweet the bantam-A babies filling the empty space in the center of the Suro

It's really going to be crowded in there if I don't pull some, but will wait for now.
One lesson learned --- Don't try to hatch honkin-big eggs in a carton!

Lay them on their sides Hope DSIL gets home soon so that I can get back home to check progress in the hatchers!!!

That was at 3:45. When I got home, there were 5 fuzzys in the bator! Also a pip and a zip ------------- and VERY CROWDED!! Quickly finished brooders and moved the first 7, left the damp one, soon joined by a new baby! I will do pics when I find my camera!

Madcap that is funny!!! I have 4 big honkin eggs in a carton and so far two have zipped out and they are climbing all over the place. I say that GOD for the cartons!!!!!

I'm up to 4 hatched now! 3 BLRW and one of our own little mystery bantams which does indeed look like a cochin that we had hoped for. I think we still have 4 eggs that have pips, but not much action with them lately. Tomorrow is day 21, we had 13 eggs hoping to hatch. Hoping for some late night hatchers and more tomorrow!

Here are the ones that are in the brooder. 2 part pic.

Very cute . ? is why so much blk.? CM coloring? I was hoping for more color. I think even with all the blk it has been a good hatch for the test batch of my own eggs. So I'm happy.
