DAY 20...19 in lockdown...1 'OE' hatched, 2 bantam crosses hatched, 2 'OE' pip, 1 bantam cross pip, 10 'OE' and 3 bantam crosses waiting waiting waiting. more later. and yes I still have pics to post for the other hatches...

We're on day 22 ...waiting...not seeing anything happening... "all is quiet on the hatching front" and it's getting a little frustrating!!!

HI well our buff silkies are actually hatching and on Day 21...woke up this morning to one little peeper and there are more pipping and zipping so we shall see how many we get as this batch went thru an incubator malfunction in their first 7 days....fingers crossed we get some more.

We are also on day 22 with no babies

At 2:30am I thoought I heard a chick chirping but, it was only our old dog having a noisy dream. My mind is starting to play "chicken tricks on me"

Final Update: 15/24 hatched and doing great!

We had 22/24 viable eggs. (1 infertile LS, 1 infertile Mixed Breed)
7/10 (shipped) LS made it to lockdown (2 quitters, 1 infertile)
13/14 (ours) Mixed Breed made it to lockdown
5/7 of the LS that made it into lockdown hatched
10/13 of the Mixes that made it to lockdown hatched
So overall thats 15/20 that went into lockdown!

UPDATE...DAY 22...19 in lockdown...9 'OE' hatched, 5 bantam crosses hatched, 4 'OE' and 1 bantam crosses waiting waiting waiting. more later..hopefully...hatch rate at 74%. This is pretty good considering my power went out for 4 hours on day 17. and yes I still have pics to post for the other hatches...

Hi Day 22 and there is 10 buff silkies in the bator out of 16 eggs and some may still hatch as the last hatch i had one pop out day 24 i almost threw the little guy out but i could here this chirping and realized it was coming from an egg.....will have to join the March hatch along as going to do another week of the 20th for an april hatch....yes i admit it i am a hatchaholic...guess i will have e to sell some of the birds eventually ...happy hatching...Chris
