FEBRUARY Hatch-A-Long, come join in!!

Oh it's sooo nice to be hatching with so many chick lovers out there. Reading your posts keep me AWAY from staring at my incubator temp/humidity level - boy do I have a problem/addiction.

I am relying on this hygrometer for my temp/humidity.... what does everyone else use? and how accurate should I expect it?

I am at day #6 now - I'm thinking 100f temp with 50-55% humidity is correct, for a Little Giant forced air Styrofoam.

I just got a GQF incubator and hatcher off craigslist for $450. YEAH. It has the clear doors and 12 trays to put in the 3 slots. Self turning is going to make me more of an addict. With that said I have put in 24 eggs...yeah today.

I'm in! I just put ten of my EE mutts/Buff Orpingtons in today, and seven BBB turkeys which may or may not be fertile. I'm going to have shipments of eggs coming here and there for weeks, so I'll have a lot of staggered hatches. I'll have to crank up my LG to use during lockdowns. Such fun!

My first batch is due February 11.

are you going to leave the other 5 in just in case ... or do you KNOW they won't make it? These are the Sizzles ? can't wait to see pics when they hatch

I am leaving them in for now. Yes they are sizzles, I have 3 from a hatch I did last August and just love them!
