I just candled my 3 day old eggs, i can see a little red spot in all 6!!!!!!!!

so far so good. 3 leghornX, 2 gameX, and a welsummer (that has been in the fridge for over a week)

I set 7 Serama eggs in my Mini Advanced, they're due the 13th.

She only sent you 7....So I should have some Serama eggs by Aug...lol I have 24 due the 11th, 4 due the 15th and 22 due the 21st. Plus a guy that Itrdaed with is sending me 12 more and I will probally add some to that. Big was great to get, but I could become addicted...lol​

Can I join in? I have eggs hatching almost every week starting next week. I like to set eggs on wednesday of each week, that way I go into lockdown the same time each week, it's easier for me to keep up with it that way.

Right now I am incubating 1st and 2nd gen OE from my own eggs, But I have some BO's and EE's being shipped to me this week that I will set on wednesday hopefully.

Then next week I am setting a large amount 30+ of my own eggs for a customer, she wants a mix of my backyard flock, it will be really fun to see what all hatches.

My Mini Advanced can only hold 7 eggies! lol Yep...awhile before they start laying yet! ( I just love counting my chickens before they hatch! lol )

Yep, the bigger the better I say..I want to fill up my homemade bator sometime..that would be sooo fun!! Humm..around 300 chicks..I like it!!!

The GQF with the trays holds 288 chicken eggs....even if I got a 50% hatch rate...WOW alot of fuzzy butts...I like

Hi ya'll. I put mine in lockdown a day late because I've been sick with the flu and then kidney infection. Yesterday is the first day I've felt good in a week lol. They are due tomorrow night. I can't find my hygrometer and don't feel good enough to look for them (I have 2 somewhere ) so I am winging it. There are 17 eggs and a few still looked iffy but I just put them in anyways. No pips here yet. I swear yesterday morning I could hear a faint peep.

Illia: I can't wait to see your Shamo cross chick pics!! Do the chicks have that long lean look like the adult Shamos? I also wanna see what the Marans x Tolbunt chick looks like.

After I made the above quoted post, I set another batch that is due Feb 17:

6 Delawares
7 BBS Orps (I'm a glutton for punishment, I guess)
1 Blue Orp x RIR/Buff Orp (Meg)
2 Delaware x Lt. Brahma (because Miranda is over 4 years old and I have had no chicks from her)

Total for Feb 17, 16 Eggs

I can't believe I'm doing all these small, staggered hatches, but the goal was to get another Suede son for Cetawin. I hope that's even possible now.

I'll have a big March hatch, too, but that's another thread.
