FEBRUARY Hatch-A-Long, come join in!!

Yes, I plan to follow the 'do not open the incubator for 5 days' advice. still have just 3 others pipped, and can see them active inside. I'm still technically in the middle of day 21, so hopefully some others will pip soon. My 10 year old son is at school, I just know he's so anxious to come home and see if any chicks are hatched

This is actually his 5th grade science project, the building of the DIY incubator and the incubating of Trader Joe's eggs

As I said, I've never before seen a freshly hatched chick like this, well once but I wasn't paying much attention back then. So thanks for all the feedback and advice!

9 of my OE's went into lockdown this morning. I have the incubators in my office, and I was working when I heard chirping, coming from inside the shell, and sure enough about 1 hour later I have a pip!!! It's only day 18, yikes!!!! All that and we even had a power outage for about 3 hours last week, I surely knew it would delay them a bit.

2 more have hatched!! one has a bunch of lighter feathers!! can't wait for the batteries to be charged so I can take & post more pics!!!
Edited to add: eggs designated as: 1-E(EE/SLRW) & 1-T(EE/SLRW)

Hello, I bought my first 10 chicks almost a year ago, and fell in love. So we (I) decided to see if I could hatch some:D, they are due to hatch on February 13th. I am soooooo excited I can hardly stand it. I have 2 silver laced wynadottes and 7 blue orpingtons that I am trying to hatch.

4 black, 3 of them with yellow on them.
I am super happy with the results!
