Dixieangeln - OMG it's horrible isn't it ... I don't know why I'm so obsessive, guess it's the uncertainty of it being our 'first' time hatching and 'not knowing' if we are doing it right. I am having fun though!!! I'm on day 7 today.

knjinnm - I broke out a 1,000 piece puzzle and that has been keeping him occupied - LOL

CowgirlJules - what is a BBB turkey and are turkey eggs hard to hatch (heard they were)?


8ROYALS - can you post a pic of you GQF bator , it sounds bigger then the stryroforms ... wow that would be hard to control not putting a TON of eggs in there *smile*

Shelly, they're Broad-Breasted Bronze. They're just feed store turkeys that my husband bought me last year when I was having a hard day. It turned out that we had a pair. They grow so fast that it's hard on their legs and they have a hard time breeding, and my tom got sick last month, so I expect that I'll have to throw out these eggs in a week or two as they turn out to be duds. It was worth a try though.

I wondered what happened to the hatch a long threads.....I just put my Wellies in lock down and I have turkeys to go in on next Friday. I have Midget Whites and Auburn Turkeys laying right now thinking about putting in 2doz Cuckoo eggs they have started laying real steady.....don't know if I'll have room though with all the turkey eggs though
