February Hatch-A-Long

Anybody planning a hatch in February? I am hoping too, but don't have any dates set for certain yet.

Me too! The family is out, I wonder what would happen if I just got up and set up the incubator right now...
Oh wait, I should probably collect a lot of eggs first! If it weren't for that hold back, I think I'd have chicks in 21 days! I think you're giving me ideas!

I have an incubator that only holds 7 eggs for this very reason Otherwise I’d have wayyyyyy too many chickens! Hope to start the incubator up in about a week’s time, but I might wait a bit longer.

I think you should put "already have eggs in the incubator" as an option! LOL

How smart! Sadly (or happily!) my incubator holds around 24 eggs, I think. I can't really remember!

Just think, within one month you could have a little army of seven chicks!

Don't fear, your silkies will start laying soon! But, they will go broody immediately after. Quick! I need to break Layla and get a couple eggs from her!

ETA Great breeds! I can't wait to see them!
