She looks like she is doing OK. Her little beak is clinking, good sign. May be just in rest mode, still absorbing the yolk. What day is the egg on?Thank you for your help! How far along were the eggs when you helped? Here's a short video of how she is right now. You can see the egg moving at the beginning.
I don't have ointment unfortunately but I did make the hole bigger. I went ahead and candled the bottom where the air cell is and yes, she still has blood vessels to absorb. I was just worried about her not having oxygen since she pipped early and on the wrong end. She is on day 19 about to be 20 in a couple hours. Now I can rest knowing she can breathe and see how she does tomorrow! Thanks again for all your help. She looks like she is doing OK. Her little beak is clinking, good sign. Maybe just make the whole twice as big as it is now. Put some ointment on the membrane so she can work through it. What is your humidity running right now?
Was given them for free. Local lady dewormed her eggs and doesn’t eat them for a time frame after deworming so she offers them to hatchYour eggs are colorful!
So exciting! Fun to do a timelapse video of an egg hatching, if you have not already thought of it.![]()
Looks good. The humidity is good. Will help prevent shrink wrapping. Some people apply cocconut oil, though I have never done so.I don't have ointment unfortunately but I did make the hole bigger. Not the best pic, but here it is. I'll continue to monitor her though, especially for shrink wrapping. Humidity has been stable from 65 to 70%. No blood vessels were damaged during this process.

You have to post to You tube and then link it on here. My 12 year old showed me!Was given them for free. Local lady dewormed her eggs and doesn’t eat them for a time frame after deworming so she offers them to hatch
we actually took one. If I ever figure out how to post it I’ll add it.
That beak has to be somewhere where the pip is and it looks like it has a good sized hole to allow for ventilation. I'll be sending good vibes to you! Let's hope mine and yours can make it out. Did you candle to see if the chick still had blood vessels to absorb?First hatch second egg, pipping on the wrong side. And it’s the only olive egg. Dangit. Had to take the picture from an off angle to catch the air sac and the pip. I helped a little to get to this point. Can see movement, but no beak. I Didn’t explore long. Enough to expand the existing cracks and then back in it went the incubator.
And a photo of the first soccer player around who got moved to another place of warmth to prevent kicking everyone around. Trying the heating pad brooder here. Have globe and 100w regular bulbs and can grab a red one if needed.
