Wow what breeds u incubating? This is exiting! And I was planning to take the turner out as planned ... until that duckling hatched so I’m not sure if they will all make it mabye a few days of no turning will not affect them too much?hopefully a little movement from the new born duckling won’t affect the others too much.. after that I guess I’ll hand turn them as the rest hatch quite close considering chickens hatch quicker than ducks... if it goes as planned and all survive I will be very surprised! Will keep u guys updated

Are you able to send a pic of the new duckling or is it to hard to see at this point?

I have Cortunix quails. They are mixed variety so we will see what kinds I get.

Will try and candle soon and send a photo mostly veins a very dark blob... I love quails they were my last successful hatch cute lil things!

Had a sad day today when I realized I had a definite blood circle in one of my eggs. Possible two others but I only took the one I was sure of out of my bator. All other febrile eggs are doing great though and I am so excited for lockdown in 3 days!

So sorry for your loss and that is fast I’m alway so exited for lock down i have one egg due for lock down in 3/4 days and might need to take the turner out for all of them! Keep is all updated!

I’m going to set my first ever eggs today!! I am so excited. I am going to do either 14 or 15 depending on how many clean eggs I get this morning from my gals. (I already have 13 of them) my incubator has been running for the past 24 hours and should be ready to go.

I have a bunch of breeds.
My LF rooster is a speckled Sussex and my LF gals are
Buff Orpingtons
Barred rocks
Easter eggers
Black australorps
Red sexlink
And I also have a bantam porcelain D’uccle rooster in with them, so there is a teeny chance he could be a father.
I am not hatching any bantam eggs

I just put them in and they are heating up just fine! I’m so excited!

I have a question. Where do I put the thermometer that is attached to the incubator? It is forced air, but when I put it on top of the eggs, the incubator reads 99.6 but the digital reads 97. If I put the thermometer on the side it reads like 89 and the digital reads 97. Both are accurate.
