Febuary hatch a long

Did a day 10 candle. 9 of 18 shipped eggs are still showing life. 3 of 4 of my own barnyard mix is still viable. Last time I said 4 of 5 of mine but I only set 4 of mine.

Of the one's that was not viable:
6 clears
4 bloodrings

what do you have hatching in your group of 19?

Cool on your eggs! With both breeds having brown to dark brown It will be a long wait as both will be hard to look through to see how much development. Good Luckl

Thanks! I know I will be able to see in the barred rock eggs, but the the marans eggs will be tough, They are so dark!

I gave up on the first four eggs. This was day 11 for them and I never saw anything inside. It looked like three were unfertilized and one had a small spot on the yolk but nothing more. So I feel better that I didn't inadvertantly kill a whole hatch or something.

I have three new ones from the same flock in there, but there are only on day 4 so I guess we'll see.

Well, I think I'm down to five eggs. I had eight coming along, but at least two I'm pretty positive have died and one is iffy. Darn. Oh well, they were shipped in freezing cold weather without a heat pack (even though I paid for one...) so I guess five isn't so bad considering.
