I setting eggs tonight!!!! This is my first time!! I'm so nervous! Idk if my roo is doing his job but I'm going to just set them and hope I get something. I have a still air incubator my thermometer that came with my egg turner has a mark at 99.5 should I use that mark?
I only have 6 eggs I'm hoping my lasts lay me more today. I only have one egg every 2 days out of 16 hens

I think they are my NN hen. I have a silikie roo and a EE roo.

Good luck! I just put 7 bantam langshan eggs in (from the lovely msladyhawk). I hope to have better luck with these than I had with my own lol

What is the best way to clean a styrofoam incubator? I have heard that people use bleach but that seems like it would be to harsh on the styrofoam.

Clean with a bleach and water mix 3 to1 3-water 1-bleach an rinse very well air dry

I have cleaned mine 2 times last year with bleach and water and it is still fine.

Did a 5 day candle last night, set 28 eggs on the 6th, and have 19 viable eggs right now!!! woohooo!!!!

sooo excited!!! All silkies, about every color but cuckoo.

Cool on your eggs! With both breeds having brown to dark brown It will be a long wait as both will be hard to look through to see how much development. Good Luckl
