Febuary hatch a long

Does anyone know if it makes a difference what time of day you lockdown?(personally I lockdown the same time I set the eggs..I figure if its down to the hour that would be 18 days on the dot)

Alright.

Like your webcam I used to have one but it is no good now I need to get another one.

that webcam is y daughters old cellphone that we don't have service on anymore it is an android and I downloaded the ustream app I am very happy with it

I usually lock down at the same time I set the eggs, this time I wont...I set the eggs at noon on a Wednesday, my lock down is this coming Sunday but we leave for church at 10:30 am...I'm going to lock down a few hours early this time instead of waiting til I get home around 2ish and fumbling to hurry and lockdown

I have one of my eggs external pip about 8:30 this morning.

I don't think it matters at all what time, or even exactly which day. Remember, broody hens don't do a "lockdown" at all and have very good hatch rates. I hatched eggs several times in a home made incubator and never have strictly followed any type of lockdown, other than adding a sponge to a container of water to increase the humidity.

I recently converted my Little Giant still-air incubator into a forced air incubator. So just to be sure, do I have to lower the temp a bit since before I converted it, it was at 102F?
