FedEx driver has ticked me OFF!!!!!!!

Yea, FedEx is different from UPS (I didn't know any of this until brother-in-law bought his first route). They own routes and they aren't cheap to buy neither, but after you buy so many route you can start buying semi-trucks. Its all independent, kinda like Mary Kay makeup and other stuff like that where you work for yourself but your under a big company's name. I talked to the Hubs again and he said that his brother said that it would never happen again, so if it does I'll take it to the next person up then. Talking to the brother-in-law and letting him know that what his driver did was unexceptable, I think got the point across that if it happens again brother-in-law's butt might be in trouble and not the driver, especially since he gave the okay and sign off on my package. But I think what is even worse is that I didn't get my package today

. Yup. See Mother-in-law works in the city/county where brother-in-law lives, but she got off work before he could get her my package. Now I have to wait until tomorrow!!! (Breathe....Sigh.....) I'm trying not to be so angry about it cause there is a big enough rift in the family as it is, and getting someone fired could make everything worse, BUT don't think that if this ever happens again because of someone's laziness that higher people on the totem pole won't be contacted.

Anyways, thanks for the compliments on my labels. I'm so proud of them. I order them from UPrinting.com I like their customizing tools better than Vista Print that I have order business cards from. I also got these labels too. I designed them myself too.

I'm also going to order these business cards from UPrinting.com to match my labels and to have them at local businesses.

FedEx sucks. I refuse to use them at all costs. If a vendor uses them exclusively I'll contact them and let them know that they are missing a sale due to their choice of shipper.

I've had FedEx not deliver a package before and use the excuse indicating that they unable to deliver due to security issues. Typically that is used for a gated community or gated drive. Basically the contract driver had one package, mine, out of his way and decided to use and excuse to save time. The driver that delivered the next day was highly berated and probably doesn;t think too highly of me now.

UPS isn't perfect but at least I know that if they have a package out for delivery that every effort will be made to get it to me.

Nice labels. If I paid for shipping I would call the company it was ordered from and demand a refund stating it was not delivered to the home.It doesn't matter if a relative or friend owns that fedex route.as you stated you paid for shipping to the home.

On a side note I watch out the window constantly if I am expecting a delivery. I have had many packages left on my porch in the rain. Thankfully no one has tossed things over the fence like I have seen in videos.

Hope you can avoid this in the future. Gas is so darn expensive I would not drive out to get the lables. You paid high shipping fees BECAUSE of the high gas prices, and then to not get the item is just wrong. BIL should have delivered it immeidately.Poor poor rating for that fedex.

I feel your pain! If I can choose, I never pick FedEx or DHL. Even my work experiences with FedEx have been terrible. We have to call them to come get overnight packages, or they won't stop by. Sometimes if we call them they still won't come, unless they have other pickups in the area. 3-4 days go by and I see an overnight package still on the table. I go and ask the secretary what's up and she is furious. I interact so seldom, with FedEx, I wonder how they are still in business.

I also do not like when the shipper arranges shipping and is in charge of it. *I* paid shipping. Not them. If I say "Put it on the back porch, I do not want to hear how they require a signature for my $20 piece of aluminum. No they don't. If *I* wanted a signature, *I* would have requested that.

Finally I send it back rather than take a day off work to wait around for the FedEx driver. I call the place I ordered it from and say "Send it UPS, not FedEx. Since I am paying shipping, I want you to ship it to me my way." because by then I am ticked.

DHL has twice sent very expensive things to the wrong address. Not the address that is on the package, mind you. One they picked. One where I lived ten years ago. ?!?! A $600 item to an apartment complex, left on the steps? The other address is thankfully an overpass, so even the dumbest driver can tell it's not right. I live on 5th street. For some reason, my packages are frequently attempted delivery on 15th, even though the address says 5th. When they call to tell me it is undeliverable, I ask what the address is, on the package.

"My screen says-"

"Stop right there. What does the address on the package say?"

"Oh. It says 5th!" Oh... deliver it there, instead?

i like my Fed EX. UPS drove me nuts on a reg basis. They had to drive by my house to get to the PO who would do then the "rural delivery" in FORT RILEY!!! aghhh. Of course the USPS would tend to loose stuff like a 7x9 rug!!!!

I wouldn't want to take it up with the actual company that sent me the labels because it was not their fault that my package wasn't delivered to my house it was FedEx, or better yet the driver who knows my husband and for some reason thought it was okay.

By all your responses it does seem like FedEx does a lot of wrong things. It is probably because they are independent but still no accuse. I know now in the future any time I see something that will be FedEx delivered I will ask that it be delivered any other method "please".
As far as other carriers, USPS and UPS have always been great for me. My mail man knows me personally and will leave packages in my car (I live in the country and never lock my car), he also delivered my babies chicks that I ordered last March. I thought that was awesome. UPS always delivers to my house and I've also told him to leave packages in whatever vehicle is home if were not. In the past I've had FedEx drivers leave my packages at the post office, where I've had to drive there to pick them up.

Anyways, thanks for the compliments on my labels. I'm so proud of them.

rarely used fed ex, but had no problems when I have, post office LOTS of problems... the only big issue I had w/ ups is once I was on vacation from work (never left town) and the same driver delivers to my employer and finds out I am on vacation so he never even tries to deliver to my house he returned to the depot with my package and told them I wasn't home (I was all day and so where 3 other family members who could have accepted it if I was in the bathroom on the phone etc....) post office the driver refused to deliver our mail because the snow plow came through after I shoveled the inch and a half of snow away from the mailbox and he refused to drive up to the mailbox (he could have streached the 6 inches from the mailbox if he didn't want to drive over the "bump" in front of my mail box) I am on a rural route, and he has a true brand name jeep not a post office version (his 4wd) and my 15 year old rear wheel drive car mad it up to the mailbox to get the paper out of the box attached to the same post as my mailbox is on....
