feed brand

I went to the store to buy more chicken feed since I ran out when I went they did not have the brand that I wanted mind you it is 20% complete flock crumble BAR ALE I’m not sure. Should I get a different brand? They also did not have 20%. They only had 16% and 27% so I don’t know what to do. Is it bad if I go from a different brand and different percentage?

What were the available options? 16% layer I imagine, and 27% meat bird?

What kind of birds do you have? Hens, roosters? Chicks?

I personally have never seen anything above 24% for meat birds. I am guessing it was for game birds as their feeds seem to range between 26-30% from what I have seen

Well, they had 16% and 27% I feel like 27% is way too much so I think I’ll just stick to the 16%. I have Rhode Island red chickens no rooster .
