I feed Flock Raiser & add a separate dish of Oyster Shells, never had any issues with egg laying not soft/thin shells.

You most certainly do in case the hens need the extra calcium. Where did you learn that they would not?

I feed non medicated 20% starter grower with oyster shell in a separate container, I've never used layer feed. If you use layer feed, it doesn't hurt to have oyster shell in a separate container, in case a chicken feels they need some extra calcium. It doesn't go bad.

16% protein It's for all Poultry. Chickens, Ducks, Turkeys and Geese.
I supply Oyster shell in a separate dish.
