So, my pulleys just finished their grower feed and I was transitioning the to a different feed. However, upon picking up the feed I asked about from my local feed shop I noticed a slight wording issue that only bothered me. I just wanted to see if it's no biggie. The brand I bought was "Krause's: chicken feed". When I looked online they had bags which read "kruse's: layer feed". I have 4 pullets and was just wondering if there were any major differences. Is the one I bought okay?

Are these pullets laying yet? Look at the information from the nutrition tag on the feed.

If they're laying or extremely close to it, layer feed should have a minimum of 16% protein and around 4% calcium.

If they're not yet laying, best to continue with grower, which should have around 17-20% protein, 1% calcium.

The chart totally skipped mine at first my main concern was just playing for the wrong feed when I specifically asked for something totally different. But all is well. You'd think they'd listen but thanks

They may not know.
Learn to read the nutrition percentage tags
Also the mill dates so you don't by feed that 's more then 3-4 months old.

ETA: I like to keep it simple and feed 20% Purina Flock Raiser to all ages and genders with Oyster Shell in a separate feeder for the active layers.

Hi! It depends how old they are! We switch to layer feed when they start becoming interested in the laying boxes or when we find a first egg!
