I have one 16 wk old turkey in with assorted hens that are 20 weeks. Started feeding them layer mash - they are not laying yet. Will the turkey be okay on this feed? I separated some roosters of same age (they were damaging the hens) and they are on grower feed. I had intended to put turkey in with them, but he's more timid, and was not doing well with the roosters. Will the turkey also get aggressive with hens in a few more weeks? I'm beginning to understand why EXPERIENCED chicken people have many small pens and runs, rather than one big pen...

The turkey will probably need something with a little more protien. Perhaps flock raiser could be a solution?

Your chickens will do great on turkey feed. Try turkey grow or turkey breeder. They both have more calcium than layer feed has.
