Your lucky! Our went up to $18.95 a bag! I can't believe it! And broiler feed is even more! I'm not even sure if our feed store gives discounts. We've been going there for over 6 years, you'd think they'd let us know by now.
oh no, they're not going to let you know, you have to ask! the only reason i knew was because one of the workers there is a friend of mine and asked me why i wasn't buying it in bags of 10 for the discount. otherwise, i wouldn't have known.
will, that is a GREAT price. i think there's a mill down in angleton, about 30 min from me. it's a co-op. i'm hoping they do custom bags. evans also does custom but they seemed so wishy washy when i started asking questions about what's in their bags it kinda scared me.
for those that get feed from the mill, do you ask for a special mix or do you get whatever they have? is it common for them to carry the probiotic there? a friend i know had to drive to san antonio to get his (which is 3 hours away).
That's what we are thinking about doing, but our co-op only sells min. of 1000 pounds and they're not in bags, so you have to have a container to put the feed in. But it was only $440 for 2,000 pounds of layer pellets, which IMHO is a great save.
