i was goin through clark hill sc the other day and stopped at a gas station and there was a feed store attached and i went in and the scratch and layer pellets were both 9.69$ for a 50 pound bag

and at tractor supply its like 14 dollars

Clarks Hill is a nice little place. There is a large Corps of Engineers lake there called Strom Thurmand Lake - formerly Clarks Hill Lake.
Only yahoos and Yankees call the LAKE "Strom Thurmond." We locals call it Clarks Hill Lake.

And it was likely from a mill in Orangeburg, SC. I pay the same in Aiken, SC
