Feed question

Blackhead troubles aside ...

My Bourbon Reds, RSL and mixed wyndottes are all in the same living space. I have two feeders but they are graze on both feeders. I have a separate dish of crushed oyster and also give milled oats with cayanne. One feeder has layer ration and the other has medicated Broiler Grower 22%.

My concern is:

that the turkeys are not getting enough protien. Thoughts?

the layers are eating medicated broiler. Should we be eating their eggs?


I have asked for a high protien mixed flock feed but am told by both suppliers in my town that they've never heard of it.

ask for Dr. Conley and ask him which feed has high protein
or just ask him what's wrong with your birds. He's a poultry vet.
I asked him a long time ago, but I don't remember what it was.
