Two weeks ago I went to the feed store and got a dozen Rhode Island Reds. Took them home and put them in the brooder. Made the mistake of telling my girls when they got home from school that the feed store had barred rocks. Our neighbor down the street has some and the girls love them. They call them zebra chickens. When they asked DH if we could buy some of them He said no, we already bought chicks. I mentioned that if they wanted more they could spend their allowance on it. Umm.. yeah, it was another trip to the feed store. We picked up some barred rocks, a silver laced Whynadotte and a gold laced one also. She is turning into quite the beauty. We also picked up this one and I don't know what he is. I don't know if it's male or female but it seems like a he to me. The bin said black sex link, but they also had a tag for EEs on the same bin and I know they were out of those. Two hours and they were gone. Darn... next time. I just thought that sex link were, well... black. Here's some pics. He's about a week and a half in the pics. I would really like your input.
Thanks, Francisca
