Feed Store Trip... (WHO COULD RESIST?!) + Pictures Added!

wsdareme, I was there in the store when they DELIVERED the chicks, and I must have missed you by minutes only ---

if I'd known you were coming, I would have stuck around a little bit longer

extremely hard to leave without at least one of each ... but I did get a feeder bottom and water bottom JUST IN CASE I couldn't resist later on today

tried to get DH to stop by the store and get HIS chick fix ... but he has more resistant willpower than I do

Oh! The store we went to was SETTING UP for chicks, omg I can't wait until Monday after work. You know I will be leaving early to get my chick-fix!!!

Ohhh.. how cute. I did the same thing 2 days ago except I managed to get back in my car somehow without chicks. I came to buy chicken feed (which our brand was out) and noticed they had new brooders. Of course I had to take a look. They have a great setup this year and the chicks were just in pristine condition. One of the store workers came over and said, "would you like chicks?". I had to swallow hard and say no. What I wanted to say is YES!, but I don't have room for more....and take some anyway. I found out they were buying from Cackle which made things even worse because they had a big bin of lovely Easter Eggers. Chickens are addictive. I didn't realize how much I wanted more until I saw the selection of chicks again

I may end up getting some just to give them away....

I can't wait for out TSC to get their chicks!!! I HOPE they have some silver laced wyandottes!!!

My local feed store has a list posted of the breeds and number that are coming in each week. Thank goodness next week are all breeds that I'm not interested in! But I'm already considering a trip back over there to write down all of the orders that are scheduled to come in.

I do NOT need more chicks. I do NOT need more chicks.

I sure can't! And to top it off one of my BR hens went broody on Friday and my local TSC is getting chicks this Wed. or Thur. I have no intention of getting more than 13 at the most. 4 RIR's, 4 BR's, 4 SLW's, & 1 Banty Cochin (hopefully a blue one).

The chicken math is bad. I sure hope it doesn't get the better of me.
