a few of the flock raisers use chemical drums from sheep drenches and crop sprays

feeders and waters are not cheap and cost a fortune to get a safe food dish chem free.

they cut the drum open

wash it out ten times
let water sit in it for a whole week
tip water out
rinse and use again

although this sounds pretty satisfing they are that prepeared to drink it thay washed it that many times.

i use other containers that had no chem history

is this a health risk worth sussing out and like tryes do they still old chem nasties
info would be useful

Not sure if I'd use them. Depends on the chemical. But some plastics can almost absorb things. Filling them with water might be a risk.
