Omgosh that is a lot of chicks going into the fall. My Broodies are hatching and se have chicks. The dUccles were doing a good job for about a half second, I had two girls on one clutch of 9 chicks and they are now down to 2 chicks. Stupid girls were leaving them outside of the coop and they got cold and were dying, I managed to save them 3 times, but one day I was late coming home and didn't get them in in time, I am now locking them in the coop, my other dUccle is fairing better with her 7 chicks I haven't let her out all

we tend to hatch year round.. I take a couple of weeks off during the summer for incubator maintenance and such.. then another small break during the winter.. each break is only a couple of weeks... then it's back to setting eggs again..

yeah... i need a life!

edited to add.. I have 45 chicks now in brooders.. lol.. want some?

No lol. I was hatching year round, but last year made double think that as I have a lot of started birds now in a grow out pen. Trying to decided which to keep and which will go
 
I have 2 splash Silkied feathered AMs if any one wants to buy. Came from Catkai
 
They are cockerels about 20 weeks or so maybe older
