Feedback on Learning Center "Treats Chart"

I know it says all berries are mulberries ok. Have a tree full of them! Thank you for the great chart!
read through all the post found my answer. But how about onions. Mine are starting to seed so I thought I could feed them that?

I just wanted to mention that if you have a farmers market near you be sure to check, here in Eugene, the farmers put a lot things like carrot tops and lettuce etc aside in big bins and at the end of the day you can stop by and get free treats, I got about a dozen "imperfect" but huge fresh strawberries yesterday and chopped them up for the gang... they loved them, and they love the carrot tops and other (mostly organic) stuff I bring home for them.

As all things, it is incomplete; I would like to see it updated from time to time with the collective experience and wisdom...

I can confirm hard-boiled eggs. Grains, leftover cereal from my 6yo is popular as well. Their favourite grain seems to be millet; cooked al dente. It's one of mine as well.

The chickens enjoyed picking over some fish carcasses (minus the filet parts) before I buried them in the ground. The chart said nothing about a dry white wine, so I did not serve them any wine (no complaints though).

I don't know about mouse... the cat brought a fresh kill into the house and we gave it to them; one picked it up by the tail and immediately sprinted to the end of the chicken run, abandoned it there and returned to the flock.

Also dunno about leftover bacon, which my wife won't let me eat if it's been out overnight

my instincts say it's too full of processing stuff for them, but I might be wrong. Has anyone fed them bacon?

I have had my 8 Productiuon Reds for just one week now and I have been giving them some fresh picked alfalfa. They love it. The first cut of hay was two weeks ago and the young alfalfa that is just coming back was just the ticket.

I will be trying some of the other suggestions on the list. One concern I have with the list is the comment of feeding scratch grains. I give them some as a treat, about two handfuls for 8 birds. Is scratch only for winter?

Really cool info! And i checked out the pplants...yikes my coop is under an oak tree. they have a run and leaves don't get in but my husband dumps old leaves in their coop. GONNA STOP THAT!

Love the photos that went with the info! My girls like to stroll over to the strawberry patch & try to peck the fruit thru the netting...and with some degree of success! They also wait for me to turn my back while picking & steal right from the container!!!!! Now, THAT'S lazy!
