Feeding calcium gluconate to ducks

Yes one of my duck has been laying soft egg shells or the yolk comes out then shortly after the soft shell comes out. My other pekin duck stoped laying eggs 4 days ago and I massaged her and only got one egg out so I’ve been trying anything that I can find on this website. I’m trying this now hopefully it can help my babies
Yes then give the girls this asap
Do you keep crushed oysters shells out for them normally ?

I gave them crushed oyster shells twice a week but I was told to have them available for them at all times so I started doing that yesterday. I’ll be making sure to have it at all times now!(:

you might want to try giving her some calcium citrate in addition. Just go to walmart and buy the pills. I burnt up my coffee bean grinder so now I take a hammer and smash the pills up and mix it in a treat.

Yes that’s probably why the issues are happening
I keep a bowl full at all times for my girls
Other then at night as I don’t provide water in the duck house but first thing in the morning I set the bowl out and it’s there till I lock them up for the night
You may need to give this calcium a few times a day and for a few days
One of the other ladies I tagged will help with that as I myself haven’t had issues like this yet
For the girl with the yolk in her vent coming out before the soft shell I would ask advice from these ladies as well
I’m not sure but heard infection can happen if an egg breaks inside

I made a nice box for the oyster shells, it's easy to do too. I just used scraps of wood that was around the barn.

Yes they should get better with the extra calcium and once eggs are normal you can just go to only oyster shells but if you see an issue you can always do a dose of the liquid
