feeding quail

I just fed mine chick starter feed until they're five or six weeks. then I just fed them regularly chicken pellets that are usually around 21% protein.
I'm not sure where you heard that chick starter isn't sufficient.. But it definitely worked for me! And if the chick starter is too large for your little chickies then you can always grind it.
Tip: don't forget to put marbles in the quails water (I'm sure you already know that)

message me if you need any help!

IDK Rick, that's what he said. I'm new to quail, so who am I to call him a liar. Is there a difference between gamebird 'starter' and 'startena' ??
Startena is made by Purina and contains 30% protein. Gamebird starter in general can contain anywhere from 24% to 30% protein.

I feed turkey starter since that is what I have locally available. It's 26% protein and both chicks and adults get it.

I'm sure not all chick starter is equal but when I used it about all my chicks died. They would stand with their neck stretched out then fall over. I went to turkey started & quit losing them.
