I've been raising bourbon reds for the 1st time this year. I've been feeding them Manna Pro Gamebird Show bird feed. I'm wondering if I'm feeding them the right stuff for the last few weeks, or should they be eating something else to help fatten them up?

Thanks,
Sonja

We feed ours 28% medicated from hatch until about 3 months old, then a 20% start n grow until 5 or 6 months, then a 20% layer. When I'm raising just for the table I keep them on 28% all the way thru with some whole corn added in the afternoon.

What about treats? I am feeding the 28%, but I would like to give them a treat every now and then...any suggestions?

Ours like whole corn, crushed hard boiled eggs, apples, tomatoes and dark leafy greens like cabage or collards. For some reason they won't touch lettuce or anything like that. Just don't overdo the corn, corn is low in protien about 8% and they will fill up on that and not eat as much feed.
