Feeding Wild Birds

I shall Google it.

In 2008, I had a pair of Yellow-fletched here. Something killed the male. The female hung out with the Red-fletched ones.

This one showed up the next year. Red-fletched do not have the red patch on the back of the head and the males have red "mustaches".

This one's fletchng looks orange and it has the red head patch of the Yellow-fletched and does not have the black "mustache" that the Yellow-fletched males have.

Saw White Bird today. She was being harassed by a pair of redtails with the male doing most of the harassing. After she flew up high with much complaining the pair did maneuvers that I have only seen in the spring - rolls and talon clasping. Friend John said that he saw the same interaction yesterday. Apparently a pair wants White Bird's territory. The female is a very large bird. At first I thought that she was an immature bald eagle.
