Feeding Wild Birds

They have a habit of disappearing on opening day. :lau
I will have from April 20 until May 31 to kill one. I don't mind the wild hens coming around but don't want any wild toms breeding my hens. I eliminated 4 wild toms last year with the 4 licenses I had. I let them come to me.

I got a surprise this year when they only charged me $2 for the permit.

They were back this morning. I headed them towards the neighbor.

Part of the flock showed up today - very hungry. 9 hens, 2 large toms, and one very nervous jake. I'm guessing he's been getting his butt kicked routinely as one of the toms is the biggest wild turkey that I have ever seen.
