Feeding Wild Birds

There's a first time for everything. I witnessed 'turkey sex' in the backyard. That dude sure took his time. He evidently believes the journey is more important than the destination.
Brutal isn't it.
Chickens get squashed if my toms get confused 😕
 
Also, the dog/wood ticks have appeared. The only good thing about that is the fact that generally the deer ticks become inactive around the time they appear.
Ticks are active here all year, including winter! So tired of the danged things.
 
Blue jays today

the fat doves knocked the feeder down, so I didn’t not get pictures of the blue jays from the camera feeder, which has been my goal since getting the feeder 😤
 
The flock will continue to get smaller as the hens hide their nests and abandon the toms.
Right on the money. Single hens are coming in today. Toad eggs in the pools created by the club terraces.
