Feeding Wild Birds

Spent an hour on the beagle club porch. So hot and humid I never saw or heard a bird or animal. Bird feeders were empty so they must be feeding early and late. Last night a coyote was howling in the hayfield to the West. Turkeys must know they never came in to eat today.

The Red Tailed Black cockatoos have been plentiful (for a bird that is in low numbers round the state) in our area this year. When the flock is collecting to head out to the evening roosting site have seen up to 39 (yes I counted fast)
They have adapted to eat the seeds of the White Cedar - not a native to my state. So they visit my place and Mums regularly as we both have these trees. Sometimes as many as 10 birds, sometimes as few as 3, in the visiting group.
