Feeding Wild Birds

Pics
Yeah, I have taken down the bird feeders for this year because of the bird flu. I don't want to contribute to more birds getting it. Hummer feeders are still up, though. I think they are safe, but not sure. Anyone know?
From what i understand it's mostly migratory waterfowl that are the carriers. But i am not an expert.

More new visitors today.

It's been a few years since I have seen an American Redstart.

Had a pair of male Western Tanagers fighting over the suet feeder.

Also caught two brief glimpses of a Brown Thrasher. At least one of the Spotted Towhees is still here.

I swear, I just saw a rufous hummingbird whiz right by my window when I was looking outside... except all the maps say they're specifically located along the west coast. I'm going to have to keep an eye out now just to be sure...
I did see these guys hanging out today at work. They weren't afraid of me at all.

I had a bear come through last night :/ It destroyed my hummingbird feeder and one of my tube feeders. It knocked down the small gazebo but it's not broken and two suet cages are missing :/ I'm glad it didn't take my big wood one but I'm worried he'll come back again. Any ideas for keeping bears away?
