Feeding Wild Birds

Surprisingly there is still a Dark-eyed Junco hanging around

. I thought I saw the first female Redwing but was not able to confirm it.

Apparently the Wild turkey hen has temporarily moved in.

She was waiting under the bird feeder "rescuing" any spilled BOSS as I filled the feeder.

Inadvertently bumped a turkey hen off her nest at the beagle club. It's well secluded so the eggs should be safe from the crows - 13 eggs in the nest.

A second wild hen showed up here and shortly after arriving made a deposit in one of the Sweetgrass hen's nest.

Hundreds of Falcons were migrating back North, yesterday!

Hundreds of Falcons were migrating back North, yesterday!

That's a sight to see - I've seen them up high circling and drifting through the sky.

Still no tree swallows. Wrens are taking over most of the nest boxes.

I spotted a bluebird yesterday morning but when I went out with the camera I couldn't find it. I did however find a Black-headed Grosbeak.

An American Goldfinch also showed up.

Rose Breasted Grosbeaks have showed up at the beagle club. Still no tree swallows.
