Feeding Wild Birds

I'm quite familiar with this bird. They frequent my larger feeders where we put out special food just for them. 😂 unfortunately they are too heavy for the spring action of these smaller feeders, and after all those acrobatics cannot get to the food. Silly bird.

I have recipes.

We had a wild hen take an interest in our flock the other day. She seemed like she was trying to join them. She was met with skepticism from my flock but they forgot all about her when I called them for treats. She looked rather confused that they all came running to me when I called them but she didn't get scared or run. She stuck around and grazed for a good half hour or so before she wandered back off into the woods. My toms didn't really show any interest in her. We haven't seen her since but we're usually working during the day.
