Feeding Wild Birds

For the first time in a while, two turkey hens showed up to feed under the home feeders. Apparently an injured/wounded deer was around last night as there is a fair amount of blood under the feeders. Scattered extra grain on the ground.

The black capped chickadees have been hanging around the pine trees by our house, so I moved the feeder closer to them.

My favorites. We have Carolina chickadees here, very close to BCC. They sometimes interbreed.

I was just reading that on Merlin! I love the sounds they make.

A branch came down on his normal roost.

He was awake and alert everytime I saw him yesterday. He is back on his normal limb today.
