Feeding your chickens apples

Haha excellent, I'm not so much looking forward to cleaning up tomorrow, there were a fair few apples

as for scraps, I almost messed up horrendously with potato skins, spent ages chopping it all up for them, then had to fish through for the skins, I really should have read up on it first haha. They're happy though, so that's the main thing! I may buy them some bananas too, they're a funny bunch!

I'm famous for feeding the Red Wattle Gang all kinds of things:

My failed attempt at homemade granola bars:

Scrambled eggs mixed with cat food:

Not sure what this was:

More scrambled eggs:

Cooked wieners

Thanks!

I've read in a couple different places to steer clear of potato skins. Then you hear from someone who has had chickens forever and they feed them potato skins with no ill affects. Maybe it's moderation? Or maybe it's only the green skins in question, or the eyes. Who knows.

I think I'm gonna play it safe and just steer clear, apparently they're ok once boiled, so I think that's the only time I'll add it in

Its the green that shows where the toxin is, skin or the flesh of the potato.. Boiling has no effect on it.
