I just learned today that a groundhog and a woodchuck are the same FREAKING animal! HAHAHAHAHA.....I had no idea.

Around here, they were first known as a "whistle pig" because they root in the ground like a pig, and their warning call is a shrill whistle. I never knew that until I moved to the mountains about 10 yrs ago....

Yes, apparently they do. I wonder why it isn't Woodchuck Day?? I'll have to google that.
