Feeling pressured

your good at it, because you give part of yourself with each performance. I also think that with practice comes confidence. If you are confident you can sell anything, including being another person. How do you think con artists operate?

Yeah, but I'm having a hard time understanding why people keep saying I'm so good at acting. I just don't get it. I don't feel like I am. I feel like one of them people everybody laughs at because they stink.

Nice people don't do that. Maybe you should consider asking a teacher to critique your strong and weak points. If you get specific information you may better understand why you are getting compliments. Maybe it is your facial expression, maybe it is the way your voice captures the part, maybe it is your body language, maybe it is ... And crazy as iut sounds, being told that there are some areas where you need to work may make you realize that the compliments are not fake, but their accurate assessment.

This coming from having watched the video? And, uh, thanks....

^Actually, I'd much rather constructive criticism than, "You're amazing!"

Kargo,

Have you seen the stage quite and empty...nobody around. No spotlights.
No mic. Just you and the wood.

Nobody watching.

And if you got on that stage, it would be for only one reason. You do it because
you want to.

Don't ever let it be about how good you are. Or how good someone else is. Enjoy
your acting for you own pleasure. Yes it's true. The more time you spend on stage
the better you'll get.

Along the way you make a few mistakes, flub a few lines, miss a cue. Prop doesn't
work right. Your shoe falls off onstage...

All part of the path. We've all waked it.

Just remember why you're onstage....because YOU want to be there. Don't do it
for me, or M, or your parents. Do it because you can't be complete without it.

I'm a small part of the local theather. And I'm happy in my small part. Each single
member is also only a small part. It's only together that we're a whole.

And those fellow actors have become a part of my family. My theather family. We've
laughed, we've cried. But we each one understand why we have to do it.
