Hi all!
I recently adopted a kitten to bottle feed. She did great. Has moved on to some bottle some wet. However, the poor kitten is tremendously backed up.
She is constantly in the squat to poop position. We cleaned her butt off again ( caked on dry poop ) and washed her feminine area ( like we've been doing since she was found ). She can't poop. I helped her by pulling some free that was ready to go. I didn't fight it. She didn't seem to mind.
She's maybe 4/5 weeks now. Recently started on cat food. No more than 7 oz. I have quail that weigh more than her I fear. She's not growing, and her follow up with the vet isn't until Friday.
Anyone have any suggestions on what I can give her to relieve her bowels? She's miserable. Its been days since she's had a good poop. I pushed .10cc of caster oil through her earlier. I'm afraid to give her much more. Even that seemed like a LOT on such a tiny kitten.
