Female Muscovy Not Eating

Okay now you need to get rid of old bedding and put down new, hopefully she'll begin to lay again soon and be back to her old self. Then most likely she'll go broody again lol

But remember we're not vets so there could be something else going on with her so if a vet is at all possible?

as for the eggs candling should tell you if any are viable but the longer they go with out heat they won't make it so candle then decide if you are going to incubate if you have a bator or can borrow one. Time is of the essence now.http://www.metzerfarms.com/Candling.cfm?affiliate=undef&CustID=16619040

Thank you so much for all your help. I had changed her bedding as we didnt want her reminded of her old eggs. The eggs have definately passed their used by date if you know what i mean and will be disposed of.

Your advice has done so much to help ease my mind and I think in the last 36 hrs she may have actually started to turn around. I dont want to jinx myself there but.

And again thank you so much. I am very gratefull. There does not seem to be an abundance of people able to help and share their advice reguarding this issue and I am so thankfull that you responded.

And finally here is a photo of the little lady in question

She beautiful and so glad to hear she is up and about. Hopefully she'll be 100% real soon.
Brooding can take it's toll that is why we have to make sure they are taking care of themselves.

So now it's just a wait and see to when she starts all over again because being a Muscovy she will lol

Keep us updated.
Muscovies have a very special place in my heart. :love

I'm absolutely heartbroken to tell you guys that my beautiful little Leslie Lou passed away 2 days ago. She was coming good. She really was. We had resorted to force feeding her meal worms and it had worked. She was eating again. Her appetite looked so promising. It was like she had woken up again. Then the very next day she had gone in her pool for a swim and she couldn't get out. My partner found her in time but it just took too much out of her and my little girl didn't make it. I'm crushed. But I want to thank you so much for your time and your help. It was really appreciated ☺

I am so sorry, seems like being broody wasn't the main cause of her problems they can hide their sicknesses so well.

I am so sorry you lost her. :hugs
