female runner duck growing green head feathers?!

i have a little duck that quacks like a female but now i noticed there's little green streaks on her head like a male duck would get. is she actually a he? or can female ducks have green head feathers? can male ducks quack? wth is going on?!

Black ducks whether male or female with have a green sheen to their head in certain lighting.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a female duck!

Consider yourself lucky to have ducks with beautiful markings!

One of my female blue runners has those little iridescent squares on it's wings like you would expect from a male duck.

This is what I thought and hoped, thank you! She does have the blue markings on her wings too. I'll try to get a pic later, the shine doesn't really show up on her until the sun comes out.
