I'm with twzlrwho - the cats think that they are doing you a favor--at least MY cats think this way.........

Hey, twzlrwho: we're BOTH "OUT OF THE BROODER"!!!

We use feral cats as target practice. Out in the country they get dumped out all of the time. The vet is over half an hour away and if we relocate them it just means other people down the road have problems. We "relocate" them to the back of the field permanently.

I had the same problem till I got my dogs. They were even having kittens under my house. I now only have a few scragglers but even 1 is too many for me. Now that I got the possum I hope the cat is next!

I'm scared to let my dog at them. No doubt she would dispatch of them quickly, but she may get a disease from them. Or worse, bring them to the back door as a present for my wife.

Nothing worse than waking up to a half eaten cat!

Yuck! I couldn't imagine. My dogs just run them off they don't catch them. Sure keeps them from nesting under the house and tearing up my flower beds. I don't know why people don't understand the responsibilty when they get a pet. Instead of rehoming it's just easier to dump their problem on someone else. It just erks me.

Yeah, it never good when my wife wakes me speaking Spanish (she's Hispanic and talks very fast Spanish when mad). We have two dogs: lab and a chihuahua. the lab does the deed ('cause she likes to chew)and the chihuahua bring the prize ('cause she's crazy).

I felt the same way you do until I watched a program on Discovery Channel. I thought if they caught a feral cat and spay/neuter it, why not humanely put it down? Well, if you spay/neuter the feral cats and release them( from where you catch them NOT relocating), then you will not get new feral cats in the area. The fixed population keeps new ones (feral cats) out of the area. Voila, no more feral cats (if they fix all feral cats)... it takes years for it to happen though. I hope you stop losing your animals too! Theresa
