fermented feed?

Can you ferment feed from commercial feeds like flock raiser? Everything I saw sound like it was grain type feeds.

You can ferment most any food, be it whole grain, mash, pellets or crumbles. What ever you are using will work, to me though I like to use the mash for my fermented feed. It costs less around here but I do it because it is processed less, as you may know pellets and crumbles both begin as mash, and are pressed into the round shape, crumbles are broken up pellets.

So I can seen no advantage to using anything other than mash, sometimes whole grains. You will like doing it after you get a batch or two under your belt.
