fermenting feed and protein levels

That is what I was thinking. But just wasn’t sure.
Well maybe it's important to understand more so what it does to the vitamins and such than the bacteria itself... I mean even in a microwave, cockroaches don't cook. And a dead bacteria is still being consumed without changing it's caloric content... And cooking the egg in a protein makes it MORE digestible... which is supposed to be the whole point of fermenting.

BTW... some vitamin are actually retained by microwaving verses heating on the stove... WHY is being smart so dang challenging! :barnie

To me, room temperature FF IS warmer than outdoor temps. Though I get not likely enough to cause that warming comfort feeling. :pop

What!?
Roaches don't fry in a microwave?
This is news to me. How neat.

I quit feeding FF. The birds quit liking it so well I think, and so did I. It just didn't seem right during wet weather especially, the birds weren't thrilled. I would quit using the FF then and end up wasting the already mixed feed. I now feed crumbles from two huge farm store feeder pans and there is no waste. I no longer feed in the coop and run, but beside it. When I lay the pans out in the morning they just love me. I might refresh them once a day, but I try to feed only what they will eat, and I take the pans in at night. They free range all day. I think FF might have some benefits, but more as a supplement for me.

I mean eventually they must but I've watched them running around...

This is probably one of those misrepresented things!

Surely they must fry... but not suffer radiation poisoning. There I go, spreading more bull, without researching accuracy!:smack
I had some fish food that got weevils/bugs in it, I thought I would microwave it and kill them. I would microwave it for 15 sec at a time and check, they just ran faster in the bowl.. finally the dry flake fish food started burning :gig the bugs were fine.
