Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

I agree! One of the most common side effects of the use of broad spectrum antibiotics is a yeast infection. It can be bad and evidence in an acute manner like thrush or chlostridium difficile( c. diff.) and even vaginal yeast infection~ or it can be a more systemic, low level of yeast that can affect many body systems and tissues. A fungal/yeast infection is one of the hardest things to get out of your body for various reasons and it's also the hardest to convince the doctor that you may need an antifungal drug...these are pretty hard on the liver and so they are cautious to administer them.

Many believe that most things diagnosed as cancer are just fungal growths that are improperly diagnosed by the medical field...some believe that is quite intentional, as there is very little money to be had on treating fungus and billions to be made on the cancer industry. One saying is that when they evaluate biopsies they don't look for fungus and so they don't see it, as cancer and fungus are often very, very similar..."if you don't look up, you'll never see a duck" sort of thinking.

You can live for years upon years being a yeastie and have any number of symptoms you treat in a palliative manner, all the while ascribing the symptoms to allergies, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic sinusitis, migraines, arthritis, chronic fatigue, chronic lung infections, chronic halitosis, etc. A yeastie person will often crave sweets or starches, which feeds the yeast and also creates more yeast that signals for more sugar and it's a vicious cycle. That cycle needs to stop in order to help starve out that colonization.

One natural antifungal that I've found effective over and over is olive leaf extract~great stuff! Another way to combat harmful yeast infections is with the use of beneficial yeast cultures that can inhibit the overgrowth of the baddies, just like in our chickens.

Funny you should say that. I've had Candida for 4 or 5 years. Sometimes bad sometimes good. Last Feb I went on a low carb diet. No sweets at all. I stayed on it faithfully for 6 or more mo. Finally started eating normal food again. Rice, potatoes and sweets. But I have been eating so much sugar this last month the Candida is flaring. So getting the sweets out of the house by the 1 st and starting over. It took me months and months to start losing weight . Lose a pound gain a pound. Finally lost over 25 lbs. and when I weighed the other day I was expecting to have gained at LEAST 10 lbs. Not one pound. The same low (for me ha) as ever. My metabolism was dead. The low carb didn't do much for me. I changed over to The Perfect Health diet which allow potatoes and rice and really wholesome food and that's when I was able to get some stamina back. I got interested in healthy food and started a garden. Outside busy and my metabolism reset. Amazing, I feel like I got my life back.

Hmmm I'm going to look into that diet. My only problem is I don't care for juices of any sort or water. My main drink is Pepsi. Heck I don't even drink coffee or tea. I know I'm weird but honestly I've tried different kinds and all it doesn't taste good lol.

But the rest of it I can do. I eat very few fruits or veggies (the taste thing again) but the ones I do I truly love. Plus I've been trying to try new things. Maybe I will find a new fruit I like :)

Pepsi is like crack cocaine for yeast infections.

And I read that the tinnitus loves the caffeine.... I'd start with that little item!

If you could get into more of a raw foods type of diet, with lots of fruits and veggies, you'll find your tastes will change and the things you used to eat won't appeal to you anymore. Even Pepsi.

A lot of people only drink pop for their main drink and you wouldn't believe the side effects of such a choice, from MS symptoms from diet sodas to lowered immune system response due to the sugar content of regular sodas, altered dental health, increased stomach acid production that leads to GERD, etc.

It would be interesting what would happen to your body if you just changed up a few things in your daily diet. I've seen some miraculous health recoveries from such a move....some things healed that there are supposedly no cure for.

Unfortunately, your tinnitus may be here for the duration. Vancomycin can have significant impact on the workings of the inner ear. Long-term therapy increases these odds. If the levels creep up and remain elevated (> 40mcg/ml) for extended periods of time it becomes a function of the total area under the curve above the therapeutic threshold. It is an additive and permanent affect. Do you find you have any hearing loss along with the tinnitus symptoms?

Had a friend of the family many years ago who suffered severe 2nd and 3rd degree burns. He was on an aminoglycoside antibiotic because of infection......I can't remember if it was gentamicin or vancomycin......gent, I think. Anyways, he ended up almost completely deaf......but he was alive.......it was that kind of situation. Mean drugs.....but life and death in many instances.

@armorfirelady Did you have MRSA or did your infectious disease specialist tell you?

Exactly!!! I hate diet soda's and only drink coke. That's why I started kombucha and kefir. Kombucha has about 25 cal a glass because the scoby or bacteria eat all the sugars making it. It will probably make a comeback because I don't do diet anything. Kefir's a little higher because it starts with milk. Kombucha is only sweetened tea with the scoby added. Just like FF covered on the counter for up to a week the first time. Then I just replace some more sweetened tea to the batch and it's a go the next day.
