I know..they really do not eat squat! They are all big, fat, and happy so I guess they are getting enough to eat. I make sure to keep their bowls full 24/7 so they can eat all they want.Cool to know about the geese, I started mine today and thought they would eat a lot more![]()
That is coolI just spent a little over a week making mine for wild yeast, so excited to use it!![]()

a whole page of cool sourdough recipes:

and this is how i made my starter:
http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/233
the only changes i made was that i used bread flour for all of my feedings and instead of tossing out the extra starter on day 4 i just split them into 2 different containers and fed them separetly for a couple days then i just put them together, and continued with the daily feedings
This is the same recipe I used to make my sourdough starter and I have had the same start for 3 years now (I forgot about it for about 2 months once and I was still able to bring it back!). I used my excess from feeding it one time to start my ferment and I have a very nice sweet sourdoughy smelling ferment.
I have also made my own sourdough bread with it and it is so yummy!
Just thought I would share the recipe for the best sourdough pancakes I have ever had! My hubby and my granddaughters absolutely love them.
